BizCard Terms of Service

Welcome to BizCard. By downloading, installing, or using the BizCard application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BizCard, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's consent to use the App.
2. Description of Service
BizCard is a business card scanning and contact management application that allows you to:
- Scan and digitize business cards using your device camera or photo gallery
- Batch-scan multiple business cards in a single session (Pro feature)
- Organize and manage your business contacts
- Search, filter, and group contacts by company, category, or tag
- Create and share your own digital business card with QR code
- Export contacts to your device's address book or CSV file
- Share contacts via vCard format
- Sync contacts bidirectionally with Google Contacts (optional)
3. Subscription and Payments
Free Trial
New users receive a 7-day free trial of BizCard Pro with full access to all features.
BizCard Pro Subscription
After the free trial, continued access to Pro features requires a paid annual subscription. The exact price is displayed in the app and on the Google Play store listing prior to purchase, and varies by region according to local market and tax rules. Pro features include unlimited business cards, batch scanning, gallery-based scanning, custom My Card creation, Google Contacts sync, and CSV export.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Google Play. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Google Play's terms of service and payment policies.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
- Not use the App to collect, store, or distribute personal data of others without their consent
- Not use automated systems or bots to access the App
- Ensure that business cards you scan belong to you or are shared with you voluntarily
- Keep your device and account credentials secure
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, icons, and content, is owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Business card data is stored locally on your device using SQLite
- Camera access is used solely for scanning business cards
- Contact access is used solely for exporting scanned contacts
- Google Contacts sync is optional, bidirectional, and requires your explicit consent
- OCR text recognition is performed entirely on-device; no card images are sent to external servers
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- Error reports may be sent to Sentry for crash diagnostics (no personal card data is included)
7. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with the following third-party services:
- Google Contacts — for optional bidirectional contact synchronization
- Google Play Billing — for subscription payments
- RevenueCat — for subscription management
- Google ML Kit — for on-device text recognition (OCR)
- Sentry — for crash reporting and error diagnostics
- TensorFlow Lite — for on-device ML-based field classification
All on-device processing (ML Kit, TFLite) runs locally without sending data to external servers. Each third-party service is governed by its own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- OCR scanning results will be 100% accurate
- Google Contacts synchronization will be conflict-free
- Data will not be lost due to device failure or other circumstances
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important contact data. The Google Contacts sync feature includes conflict detection but may require manual resolution in some cases.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business contacts, or inaccurate OCR results.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked, but data stored locally on your device remains yours.
12. Supported Languages
The App is available in English, Korean (한국어), Japanese (日本語), Chinese Simplified (简体中文), and Spanish (Español). Translation accuracy is not guaranteed for all content.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
